Meet Sawrah Amini
BA, E-RYT 200 Hr, YACEP, Reiki Master
Sawrah is a 2009 graduate of the CMYW 200 Hour teacher training program. She first experienced yoga in college and was immediately drawn to the exploration of body, mind and universal connectivity. Coming from a competitive sports background, this was a welcome change for her and she immediately felt at home in her practice.
Sawrah is an avid traveler and photographer who completed a solo trip around the world in 2013 – 2014. She continues to attend workshops, study with teachers that cross her path and expand her personal practice. In 2013, Sawrah completed a two year Shamanic Studies apprenticeship at Eye of the Eagle Center for Spiritual Light. In 2015, Sawrah became Assistant Director of CMYW. She also heads our workshop programming and is always looking to bring new experiences into the studio. In 2017, Sawrah completed the first 125 hours of Advanced Training in Therapetutic Yoga with the Integrative Yoga Therapy School at the Kripalu Center. In fall 2017 she completed her Reiki Master Certification with Libby Barnett.
Sawrah brings curiosity into everything she does and hopes you all stay curious, ask questions and explore. She can often be found experimenting in class and offering time for personal exploration during the pratice. Sawrah believes that yoga is for everyone and is inspired to teach everyone to live their yoga both on and off the mat.
