Components of Yoga for Grief

Breathing techniques help calm the nervous system, help relieve stress and depression, and bring relaxation to body and mind. Physical postures manage symptoms of grief by addressing physical pain, lowering stress levels, helping to increase concentration and restful sleep, and lessen anxiety. Positive affirmations strengthen the mind-body connection, help bring the individual into the present moment, and help reverse negative thinking habits. Restorative postures help relieve the effects of chronic stress and provide a completely supportive environment for total relaxation. Relaxation incorporates all of the elements of the yoga practice within the student promoting peace and well-being.   Please use the contact form at the right of the screen, or call 508-835-1176 to set up your appointment at Central Mass Yoga.
